Your details, treated with care

Privacy notice.

This notice explains what happens when you contact Ankers Campers through this website.

Who we are

Ankers Campers is the campervan hire business being developed by Chris and Helen Anker in Tilehurst, Reading, Berkshire. Chris and Helen are responsible for the personal information collected through this website. You can contact us about privacy using our enquiry form.

What we collect and why

When you send an enquiry, we collect your name, email address and the message you choose to share. We use these details to read your enquiry, respond and keep track of the conversation. Please don’t include payment details, identity documents or sensitive personal information in your message.

We process ordinary enquiries for our legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us about the business. If you ask us to take steps towards arranging a hire, the relevant processing may be needed to take those steps at your request.

How it is stored

Enquiries are stored in a protected database on our website hosting infrastructure. Our website uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare to host pages, process requests and store enquiries. These providers may process technical information internationally, subject to their applicable data-protection arrangements.

We do not sell your details or add you to a mailing list. Access to enquiries is restricted to the business owners and authorised people maintaining the website.

Spam protection and website data

We use a hidden form field and temporary, hashed network identifiers to limit automated spam. Rate-limit records expire after a short period and are cleared as the form is used. Our hosting providers may also process IP addresses and request information to operate and secure the service.

We have not added advertising trackers, analytics or marketing cookies to this website.

How long we keep enquiries

We remove enquiry records when they are no longer needed, normally within 12 months. If a conversation becomes an actual hire or another ongoing matter, we’ll explain any additional record-keeping that applies.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to access or correct your information, request deletion, or object to or ask us to restrict processing. Some rights depend on the circumstances. Contact us through the enquiry form and let us know what you need.

You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
